This is a picture of the famous Opera House in Manaus built in the middle of the jungle along side of the Amazon river. It was built during the rubber plantation era (19th century) modeling istself after the great opera houses of Europe. Today it hosts many of the worlds greatest opera singers and ballet companies in the world.
