Description:: Meersburg is a lovely town in the heart of the Bodensee wine district. Apart from its fine location on Germany’s largest lake, it is famous for having Germany’s oldest inhabitable castle (partly 7th century), a fine palace completed by no less a luminary than Balthasar Neumann, and an old town with lovely half-timbered buildings.
