Description:
At 161 m / 528 ft, the spire of Ulm Minster does not easily fit into a single camera shot. It is the highest spire in the world and in contrast to the rest of the church is neo-Gothic as it was only completed in 1890. Most of the rest of the minster is Late Gothic – the foundation stone was laid in 1377 but most of the interior is 15th century. The Gothic detailing is exquisite with fine stone carvings, vaulting, and detailing.
