Description
I took this photo during a stroll through Santa Monica pier. As I gazed at the glistening ocean below, I felt an odd connection with this seemingly lonely bird perched on the railing we shared. For a brief moment, I wondered if it was separated from its partner like I've been for the past year. Shortly after I snapped this photo, it flew away. At that very moment, (although quite silly in retrospect) I wished I had the freedom to fly away and reunite with my boyfriend, who lives 5,000 miles away in England.
