Description
There is a 12-ton granite water monument dedicated to other pioneers in the civil rights movement. The park is surrounded by over 500 trees, shrubs, and flowers. There is a memorial wall that lists the name of 2500 individual donors, businesses, and churches that helped make the park a dream. The park was built in 1989 and is the first public park to honor the late leader.
