Part of Gatorland is still swamp, left this way to provide an area imitating the wild situations under which alligators and others creatures live. The benefits of this are seeing nesting gators closer that you would get to see them in the wild. If only the mothers knew though there was a good chance their babies would end up on the dinner table!
